As the year drew to a close, the first regional business forum “Business and Finance in 2026” was held before a diverse business community, with the question: what awaits us in 2026? The forum addressed key issues – from macroeconomic projections and new investment flows, the role of technology and digital transformation, to sustainability, regulation and development financing in modern conditions and, of course, the position of businesses and entrepreneurs in Serbia and the region.
Regionalni poslovni forum okupio je poslovnu zajednicu regiona – istaknute preduzetnike, direktore kompanija, predstavnike finansijskog sektora, startap zajednicu, državne institucije i ekonomske eksperte, koji aktivno utiču na transformaciju poslovnog okruženja.
Tokom prvog panela, „Biznis i finansije u 2026 – Izazovi i šanse“, the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Republika Srpska, Goran Račić, istakao je da ovaj forum predstavlja dobar pokušaj da dobijemo odgovore na to šta nas očekuje u narednoj godini i da pošaljemo poruku svim zvaničnicima da je pitanje integracije celog regiona nešto što treba da bude prioritet svim zemalja Zapadnog Balkana.
Govoreći poslovanju u današnjem dobu, Toplica Spasojević, , President of ITM System, naglasio je važnost ulaženja u nove tehnologije kao što je IT, koji je danas sinonim za novo, a sada imamo i veštačku inteligenciju koja je sinonim za budućnost, a ona je već sadašnjost u mnogim zemljama.
Kao platforma koja povezuje i lidere iz biznisa i finansija, ovaj forum je imao zadatak da pruži jasnije uvide, analize i predviđanja za naredni investicioni ciklus o čemu se govorilo u duelu „Investiranje: berza ili nekretnine“, u kojem su učestvovali Vladimir Vasić, finance expert and Ivan Ivanovski, stock-market expert. During the discussion, the participants highlighted the importance of financial literacy, commitment and educating young people, because only then can we talk about investing and investments. – The next five to ten years will bring an AI revolution, which is why many think this is an AI bubble that will burst. But it is something that will change the whole world, concluded Ivan Ivanovski.

Speaking about the crucial drivers of innovation for 2026, in the panel “Digitalisation and Innovation: New Rules of the Game”, the panellists unanimously emphasised the importance of networking, investing in digitalisation, education and adapting to new technologies, with the ever-present support of the Development Fund, as pointed out by Sonja Nikić, Director of Risk Management at the Development Fund of the Republic of Serbia.
